The idea for this project was born after Stefan Kollee and I watched legendary Dutch jazz drummer Han Bennink perform with guitarist Terrie Ex at Valkhof Festival in 2022. Just to witness the freedom with which they played, their enthusiasm for improvisation and the utter disregard of conventions, inspired us immensely.

With our heads filled with their amazing sound we worked on and off on this project. Which was all about just having fun and feeling free. This led to a 20+ minute track full of weird synth sounds, organ drones, distortion, sample collages, fieldrecordings and more. Stefan then recorded himself playing improvised drums over this.

So, shout out to Han and Terrie for inspiring us with such youthful energy. And just like them, we would love to see what happens when we play this live.
